All sites have been copied across to the new server.  However, the sites are not yet "live" on the new server.  To make them live, we must now point each domain from the old server to the new server.  If your domain name(s) are looked after by Virtual Creations, you do not need to do anything at this time - your domain will be updated by us.

 

However, if you manage your own domain name, you will need to log into your domain management system and change the "nameservers" on your domain ("delegate" your domain) to the following new nameservers:

 

                ns1.speedydns.net

                ns2.speedydns.net

 

If you don't know how to do that, please contact me ASAP.

 

IMPORTANT:  If you have made any changes to your site in the last 24 hours (and that includes any changes to the contents of the database behind your site, if you have one), then it is likely that those changes will NOT have been transferred across to the new server.  But don't panic - those changes are not lost.  Simply contact me (via email or phone) and describe the nature of the changes you've made, and I'll move those changes across manually from the old server to the new server.

 

IMPORTANT:  Please do NOT make any further changes to your site (or its database content) for about another 24 hours, when the domain changes described above should have taken effect.  I will send you another email at that time saying that the site is fully functional on the new server.  If you have urgent changes that you need to make to your site, please contact me and I'll sort that out for you.  It won't be an issue.
